Review of Batik Air Flight to Kuala Lumpur

2023. 8. 9. 23:50말레이시아

When I bought a ticket for the flight to Kuala Lumpur,

Batik Air was still a relatively new airline with not many reviews.

I was quite anxious even when purchasing the ticket,

but in the end, it turned out to be much better than AirAsia!

For those who were hesitating between AirAsia and Batik Air,

if you chose Batik Air, you've made a great decision.

Every time I went to Malaysia, I used to fly with AirAsia or Korean Air,

but now I feel like I'll only choose Batik Air,

of course from a cost-effectiveness perspective.

1. Choosing Seats and Pre-ordering In-Flight Meals

If you've purchased a Batik Air ticket, I recommend visiting the official website to pre-select your seats.

You can do this at the following the website, malindoair.com.

By selecting your seats in advance, you can also pre-order your in-flight meals at a lower cost.

Considering it's a long-haul flight, you might get hungrier than you think.

You can make card payments for meals on-board, but pre-ordering can save you money.

2.Baggage Allowance is 20 kilograms per person.

For those heading to Kuala Lumpur for a month - long stay, baggage can be a concern.

However, if you use Batik Air, you don't need to worry about additional fees.

The allowance is 20 kilograms per person, and it seems to be pooled among travelers.

My baggage was 28 kilograms, exceeding the limit,

but it wasn't an issue as our group's overall baggage was within limits.

3.Seat Configuration Provides Ample Space!

The seating arrangement offers more space compared to AirAsia. This is a significant advantage.

Even my husband, who is very tall and big, had enough legroom.

The plane is configured with 3 rows on the right and 3 rows on the left.

Since there are no premium or business class seats, the front rows are likely the best choice.

Additionally:

The cabin can be quite cold (You can purchase a blanket for 30 Ringgits, so don't hesitate to get one if you're chilly)
In-flight meals are not included (Sometimes they offer a welcome meal to kids, It is not always on offer)

Despite some downsides, I believe it's the best value-for-money airline.
I hope you have a safe journey, taking these points into consideration.
